The Istanbul Medical Faculty CTC, which is under the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, is expanding its activities. Beyond the in-house cardiovascular and hematology clinical trials, a patient phase I facility has been submitted to the Ministry of Health for accreditation in addition to the ILAM (Drug Research Center) of the University. In collaboration with the Mehmet Akif Cardiovascular Hospital, with has a 12-bed phase I unit, some specialized trials are starting. Thus, Istanbul CTC will soon have access to three phase I Units.
